ISEF alumni launch companies and disrupt industries. They help people live longer, healthier lives. They work to save the planet. The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Panel provides an opportunity for ISEF attendees to hear from successful ISEF alumni about their careers creating startups and launching innovations. In recent years, panelists have included such distinguished alumni as Anna- Katrina Shedletsky, Founder & CEO, Instrumental; Shantanu Gaur, Co-Founder & CEO, Allurion Technologies; and Afton Vechery, CEO and Co-Founder, Modern Fertility. It’s rare that Nobel Prize winners, MacArthur Fellows, and National Medal recipients are all sitting in the same room. But at ISEF, finalists are treated to a session that includes panelists holding these very accolades. Recent panelists have included Robert Horvitz, 2002 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine; Martin Chalfie, 2008 Nobel Prize in Chemistry; and Dianne Newman, 2016 MacArthur Fellow, who answered finalists’ questions about their distinguished careers.
